Frosted Lime-Berry Spritzer #drink #summer

I need to concede, this spritzer been my preferred beverage of the mid year!! There have been some extraordinary ones made (and the best of those have appeared here on the blog), yet it has been chosen that this one is my total top pick.

It's essentially a super energized shining water with huge amounts of good flavors PLUS it's excessively easy to make. Also, that shading! It's totally staggering — I adore the profound purple. It's the ideal non-alcoholic festival drink (particularly for something like a child shower or child's birthday).

With the blueberries tossed in the glass, a sugar-rimmed glass, some new mint and lime, you'll feel really extravagant with this refreshment. Also, that is before tasting it… at that point you'll see precisely what I mean. This is one heavenly spritzer.

Everything begins with some crisp blueberries made into a basic blueberry syrup. Simply water, blueberries, and sugar all blended into a pot and stewed until pleasant and syrup-like. You'll pour that straightforward blueberry syrup over the ice and next comes the shimmering water. I utilized the IZZE's Mandarin-Lime Sparkling Waters for this beverage which I am obsessed with, yet any shimmering water will be incredible! Lemon-lime or plain lime shining water is an incredible supplement to the blueberries.

A delicious blueberry-lime beverage. This spritzer is non-alcoholic made with a sugared blueberry base and a mandarine-lime sparkling water. Perfect for kid's parties or a baby shower!

Ingredients
Blueberry "Syrup"
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup white sugar
Flavored Water Beverage
  • Lots of crushed ice
  • 4 Izze Mandarine-Lime Sparkling Waters (or similar sparkling waters such as lime or lemon-lime)
  • 3-4 fresh limes
  • Optional: extra blueberries, fresh mint

Instructions

  1. Place the fresh blueberries, water, and sugar in a saucepan over medium high heat.
  2. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat and simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Mash the blueberries and then strain the liquid discarding the solids or using in a smoothie/different recipe. (I blended the remaining blueberries up in a smoothie the next day)
  4. If desired, rim the glasses in sugar (I LOVE this simple addition to the flavor of the drink!) Simply press the top of the glass in a bowl of water and then the wetted top of the glass into a small bowl of sugar. Shake off the excess.
  5. Fill up 4 glasses to the top with crushed ice - really pack in the ice!
  6. Fill up the glass with the blueberry syrup. Allow the syrup to "settle" into the ice and then fill up the glass with Mandarine-Lime Sparkling Water.
  7. Stir and add in some freshly squeezed lime.
  8. Taste and adjust the drink to personal preference (adding more syrup, more sparkling water or more lime.)
  9. If desired garnish the glass with fresh mint and add a handful of fresh blueberries into the glass.
